Send a cut list for aluminum tube, bar or angle. These forms are quoted by request, including the grade, stock dimensions, quantity and any added cutting or fabrication.
Square, rectangular and round tube
For square or rectangular tube, give both outside dimensions, wall thickness and cut length. For round tube, give outside diameter, wall and length. Include the alloy and temper if specified; pipe designations alone do not give us the same dimensional information.
Flat bar, round bar and angle
For flat bar, send thickness, width and length. For round bar, use diameter and length. For angle, include both leg dimensions and thickness. Give quantity beside each cut length so a mixed order can be reviewed as one cut list.
Cuts and connections
Tell us whether ends are square or mitered. Add a sketch for angled ends, drilled holes or welded connections, showing orientation and important dimensions. Availability and the scope of any additional work are confirmed in the quote.
